Remains of WWII concrete sea Jetty at Dunree Fort County Donegal. The Fort was an important military base throughout history. In WWII the fort was a strategic location in defense of Atlantic fleet against German U boats.

The concrete fortifications from this period have begun to deconstruct and erode. These processes gradually returning this the rocky promontory at the edge of the Inishowen peninsula to it natural state - Dunree meaning “Fort of the Heather”
