Mourne Mountains are incredible at the moment!! The Low angle of the sun provides beautiful dramatic lighting against the mountain landscape. This photograph was taken at sunset on the Brandy Pad after two hour trek into the mountains along the difficult and steep the Bloody Bridge trail.
If you are going into mountains this time of year make sure you are prepared to stay out or leave time to make your exit - getting to your location is only the 'halfway' point. It is too tempting to stay out that little bit longer for that perfect light. On my return from this shoot I made much of my descent in the dark, fortunately I had a good torch with me, but wouldn't recommend this as the Terrain is extremely challenging.
